Rev. Wes Pastor, President, M.A.R, M.B.A.

Image

Wes Pastor is founder and president of NETS as well as a successful church planter. After earning his MBA and teaching at Miami University, Wes attended Dallas Theological Seminary, completing his pastoral studies at Westminster Theological Seminary in 1990, where he now serves as an adjunct professor. He is currently pursuing a M.Th. in Biblical Studies through the Wales Evangelical School of Theology. In 1992, Wes launched Christ Memorial Church in Vermont, where he continues as senior minister. Christ Memorial is now the largest Baptist church in the state. NETS is an outgrowth of Wes' passion for the gospel: "I have the inestimable privilege of casting and leading the execution of the NETS vision. The vision has always been to plant gospel-driven churches which are destined to become reproducing, mother churches, especially in New England, an area in desperate need of gospel reseeding, and also in a few locations abroad, where full-fledged NETS training centers can be established."

In October 2006 NETS named Dave as its new executive vice president and first full-time employee. Dave graduated from Drexel University in Philadelphia with a BS in electrical and computer engineering in 1993. He and his wife Audrey then moved to Vermont where Dave has worked as an engineer, supervisor, and executive program manager with IBM. During his 13-year career, Dave has managed multiple high-profile microprocessor development programs for customers like IBM, Nintendo, and Apple Computer. His responsibilities included overseeing all aspects of design and production activity, negotiating with customers, managing a $100M development budget, and running the day-to-day operations of a 250 person world-wide organization.

Dave and Audrey began attending Christ Memorial Church in 1995, where they have actively participated in the body and served as leaders of various ministries. Dave currently serves as elder, home group leader, worship leader, and as part of the preaching rotation. He has been a NETS board member since 2004.

Renée joined NETS in September, 2001. "My husband and I had supported NETS since it was just a vision. Since being hired I have had the privilege of seeing this ministry grow from a vision to a reality." Renée was in charge of a number of NETS firsts, including the first newsletter and the first fund raising banquet. In fact, her first assignment was to raise money for the down payment on the first NETS properties - four condos, purchased in October, 2001. Renée has enjoyed wearing many hats over the years, including development, recruiting, property management and donor contact. Renée now oversees all aspects of student recruiting, enrollment, and housing.

Her responsibilities include preparing financial statements, managing employee payroll and benefits, and fund distribution. Beyond the traditional role of accountant, Elaine is continually refining the use of our finances to best serve the Kingdom, from researching phone-service options to comparing health insurance plans to evaluating financial auditors.
