The NETS Field Program is a four-year, in-field, support system designed to help ensure the success of every NETS church plant. The Field Program entails three components: Placement, Coaching, and Funding and are explained in more detail below.
To see the field program in action, click on the menu links to the left. There, each of our current Field Pastors relates how NETS has helped ensure the success of their church plant well after the first Sunday service took place.
Placement
Upon completion of the NETS Residency Program, each graduate is carefully evaluated to determine fitness for moving into the Field Program. We work together with those who are accepted to plant a church to:
1. Plant in a location most suited to their skills and passions. Foreign students launch churches and develop training centers in their homelands.
2. Facilitate teamwork in partner denominations that is suited to the student and excited about ministry to that particular area.
Coaching
The one-on-one mentoring begun during the Residency Program continues throughout the Field Program. Through phone, e-mail, and site visits, couples receive essential coaching during their church plant's critical start-up years.
Funding
We want to ensure that the planting pastor and his wife are free to devote themselves entirely to ministry from the start. We arrange approximately half the support needed by pioneer churches for the duration of the Field Program. In addition, where possible, it is our intention to provide at least a down payment for a building up-front. NETS pools a variety of income streams, including individual churches, denominations, and foundations. Church planters and their new churches are responsible for the remaining funding.
