NETS is expanding! For more than a year while in his role as interim preaching minister at Christ Memorial Church, Rev. Craig Combs has been helping our would-be church planters in the background, sharpening their preaching, theological, and hermeuntical skills. In March, NETS made that role official and has hired Craig to be our preaching mentor, a long-term position that will provide our residents with unmatched training in preaching God's Word. We are very excited to have Craig on board and look forward to allowing NETS church planters to tap in fully to Craig's skills, gifting and passion for the preached Word.
Upon graduating from Western Kentucky University, Craig spent eight years in full-time youth ministry, all the while earning M.A.R. and M.Div. degrees from Westminster Theological Seminary (where he is currently pursuing a D.Min. in preaching). For 13 years he served as senior pastor for congregations in Pennsylvania and Virginia. He moved to Vermont in 2003 to be part of NETS and helped plant Redeeming Grace Church in Georgia, Vermont. He came back to Christ Memorial Church in 2008 to serve as interim preaching pastor where he has also been mentoring NETS Residents. We are excited to have him come on as permanent staff in that role.
